Water leaks or spills are very common. Immediate inspection by certified technicians of floor coverings, structural materials and crawl spaces, as well as prompt removal of all standing water, is critical to reduce or eliminate costly structural damage and/or mold growth. Another term used in the insurance industry is that the homeowner is required to mitigate the damages. Many insurance companies have eliminated or drastically reduced their coverage for mold removal.

Since every minute counts, High Plains Restoration is ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No matter when a flood occurs, we will be there to bail you out.

After all standing water has been removed, the structure must be thoroughly dried to prevent moisture damage or mold growth. A trained professional will greatly reduce any potential problems because of their experience and knowledge.

Homeowners sometimes remove standing water, and they neglect to have the area professionally dried because the surface looks or feels “dry to the touch.” Many only think the problem is the surface water. The walls, flooring, and crawl spaces also absorb the water and are often missed. It is critical to dry these areas correctly before further damages occur. Without the proper equipment, it is impossible to determine how much moisture is still within the structure or to draw that moisture out before it cultivates mold or causes other structural damage. Increased moisture in the air after an indoor flood can also cause “secondary” damage to decorative wood, books, artwork and other items, so thorough drying and dehumidification or heat drying are critical.

High Plains Restoration uses the newest and improved drying methods. “IN PLACE STRUCTURAL DRYING” while using the state of the art equipment and techniques you no longer have to pull the pad for clean water in some cases. This allows you a lot more comfort while living in your home during your disaster. This works only with clean water. If contaminated water is present, all pad must be removed and carpet must be disinfected.
